Weight Loss Diet Plan by an Online Dietitian in Pakistan
A good weight loss diet plan is made for your body, your food and your health. At Nutritionist.pk, Dn. Aruba Rashid and the team build a custom plan for you online, using foods you already eat, like roti, daal and sabzi. We do not use pills, fat burners or crash diets.

Weight Loss Success Stories
What is a custom weight loss diet plan?
A custom weight loss diet plan is a food plan made for one person, not for everyone. It looks at your weight, daily routine, food likes and any health problem before it tells you what to eat.
A chart you download from the internet cannot do this. It does not know if you work night shifts, eat mostly at home, have PCOS, or take a medicine that changes your hunger.
If you are looking for a weight loss dietitian or a weight loss nutritionist in Pakistan, ask about qualifications before you book. Dn. Aruba Rashid, who leads Nutritionist.pk, is a certified dietitian and nutritionist.
How long does it take to lose weight with a diet plan?
Plan for at least three months, even when your diet plan is simple. Health services suggest a steady pace of about 0.5 to 1 kg a week, and people who lose weight slowly are more likely to keep it off.
Three months is our advice at Nutritionist.pk. You can check your BMI at https://app.nutritionist.pk/ and share details on whatsapp.
A small loss still counts. Losing 5 to 10% of your body weight can improve your health, so do not wait for a big number on the scale to feel proud.
We do not promise a fixed number of kilos. Your starting weight, medicines, hormones, stress and age all change the speed, and health experts say the same.
How do I know if I need to lose weight?
Check your BMI and your waist size. For South Asian adults, Dn.Aruba says a BMI from 23 to 27.4 is overweight, 27.5 or more is obese, and your waist should be less than half your height.
BMI cannot tell muscle from fat, so it is only a starting point. This is why your dietitian looks at more than one number.
Weight is also rising across the country. WHO estimates show adult overweight in Pakistan went from 18.2% in 2000 to 28.4% in 2016.
Why do I gain weight when I eat again and again?
Your body turns extra calories from food and drink into fat. Small bites and sweet drinks all day can add up to more than you need, even when each one looks small.
Eating three or four times a day is not a problem by itself. The problem starts when you eat without noticing how much.
Sweet chai, cold drinks and snacks count too. Sweetened tea and coffee have calories but little nutrition.
This is one of the first things we check with every client. We ask you to write down what you eat and drink for a few days, which is also what the CDC suggests.
Do water and exercise really help me lose weight?
Yes, but they work together with your diet, not instead of it. Water has no calories, so it helps most when it replaces sugary drinks, and moving more helps you keep the weight off.
There is no magic number of glasses. How much water you need depends on your age, activity and weather, and you need more in hot climates. Pakistani summers are hot, so ask your dietitian for a number that fits you.
For movement, the NHS suggests 45 to 60 minutes a day, which you can split into shorter walks. Start smaller if you are new to exercise.
Keep your body condition in mind. If you have knee pain, heart disease, diabetes or any other condition, talk to a doctor before you change your lifestyle.
Sleep matters too. Poor sleep can make you pick high-calorie food and feel too tired to cook or move.
Why is there no one weight loss diet plan for everyone?
Every body is different, and health conditions change what is safe and what works. A plan for someone with PCOS, thyroid problems or diabetes should not look like a plan for someone with no health problem.
The PCOS (which it now calls PMOS), an underactive thyroid and some medicines among the things that can make it harder to stay at a healthy weight. Here is what we look at first:
| Your situation | Why a general chart may not fit | What we check first |
|---|---|---|
| PCOS | Hormones can make weight harder to manage | Your symptoms, reports and your doctor’s advice |
| Underactive thyroid | It can make weight harder to manage | Your latest thyroid tests and medicine |
| Diabetes or high blood pressure | Your medicine and your food need to fit together | Your medicines and readings, planned with your doctor |
| Some medicines (certain steroids, antidepressants, beta blockers) | They can affect weight | The full list of what you take |
| Past or present eating disorder | Strict fnood rules may not be safe for you | We ask you to speak to your doctor first |
Never change or stop your medicine on your own. That is why we ask about your health history before we write any plan.
What can I eat on a Pakistani weight loss diet plan?
You do not have to stop roti, rice or daal. Weight loss comes from eating fewer calories than your body uses, so portions, oil and sweet drinks matter more than any single food.
In most plans, we keep the foods you enjoy and change how much, how often and how they are cooked. Extra sabzi, salad and fruit help fill the plate, and the NHS also advises you to cut down on high-fat and sugary foods.
Things we usually look at closely:
- Oil and ghee in cooking
- Fried snacks and sweets
- Sweet chai and cold drinks
- Second helpings and late-night eating
Your plan will show exact portions for your own body, so you are not guessing.
Is a weight loss diet plan for men different from one for women?
Often, yes. On average, women use about 2,000 calories a day and men about 2,500, but your own number depends on your age, size and how active you are.
For women, PCOS and the years around menopause can also affect weight. Weight loss during pregnancy or breastfeeding is a medical decision, so please speak to your doctor first.
For men and women alike, the plan also changes with your daily work, sleep and stress.
Can teenage girls follow a weight loss diet plan?
Girls under 18 are still growing, so any weight loss plan should involve a doctor and a parent. Please do not copy an adult diet or a crash diet you saw online.
How does an online weight loss consultation work?
You book online, share your health details, and get a plan made for you. Everything happens on your phone, so you do not need to visit a clinic.
- Book your consultation and tell us your goal, medicines and any reports you have.
- Talk to the dietitian about your food, routine, sleep and activity.
- Receive a custom plan with portions, using Pakistani foods you already eat.

You do not need to travel. You only need a phone and a few minutes to share your details.
Is there a weight loss diet plan in Urdu?
Here is the short version in Urdu, so it is easy to share with your family. Your own plan will be built for your body, so it will not be the same as anyone else’s.
When should I talk to a doctor first?
Talk to a doctor first if you have a medical condition, follow a special diet, or have had an eating disorder. Also speak to a doctor before you take any weight loss medicine, because these medicines can cause serious side effects.
The Dietitian also advises you to check with a GP or health professional before changing your lifestyle in these cases. If your weight is changing fast for no clear reason, please see a doctor before you start any diet.
What else do people ask before booking?
Can I lose weight without exercise?
Yes, changing what you eat can lower your weight, and moving more helps you keep the weight off. Even 10 minutes a day can make a difference.
Do I have to stop eating roti and rice?
No, you do not have to stop them. Weight loss comes from eating fewer calories than your body uses, so your plan will set the right portion and cut extra oil instead.
How much weight can I lose in one month?
We cannot promise an exact number before we know your health and habits. A steady pace is about 0.5 to 1 kg a week for most adults, and it can be slower if you have a health condition.
Are weight loss pills safe?
Only take weight loss medicine if a doctor has prescribed it, because these medicines can cause serious side effects. Our plans use food and habits only, with no pills or fat burners.
How is a custom plan different from a free diet chart?
A free chart is the same for everyone, while a custom plan starts with your body, routine, food and health. That is why we ask about your medicines and reports before we write it.
